Major projects

A territory on the move!

Plaine Commune is changing, innovating and reinventing itself! Major urban projects, mobility, culture… Follow the transformations that are shaping the region.

#1 Le Franchissement Urbain Pleyel in Saint-Denis

A veritable link between Landy-France and Pleyel, this 300-metre bridge spans 48 railroad lines and offers 12,000 m² of lively public space.

A belvedere of culture and shops, it also offers a breathtaking view of the Sacré-Coeur.

A crossing not to be missed!

#2 Cathedrals of Rail in Saint-Denis

By 2029, these listed former railway halls in Saint-Denis will be transformed into a unique eco-responsible cultural district.

With 8,400 m² dedicated to street art and hip-hop, preserved industrial architecture and a wide-ranging program, this future spot will spread urban art far beyond the region.

See you in 2029!

#3 The river eco-district in L'Île-Saint-Denis

In L’Île-Saint-Denis, this 22-hectare eco-district is reinventing the city in harmony with nature. Zero cars, soft mobility, redeveloped riverbanks and a unique setting just a stone’s throw from a Natura 2000 park: here, the Seine is shaping a new way of life.

Hosting part of the 2024 Olympic Village, this sustainable district will combine housing, shops and workspaces for a greener, more fluid city.

#4 The Pleyel district in Saint-Denis

Pleyel transforms itself in Saint-Denis! By 2027, this dynamic district, supported by the Grand Paris Express Saint-Denis Pleyel station, will combine culture, leisure and shopping to offer an attractive, sustainable place to live. The Franchissement Urbain Pleyel and Lumières Pleyel already provide high-quality housing and public spaces, with particular attention paid to the environment. From 2026, Imagine Pleyel, an innovative cultural facility, will enhance the district’s offering.
