Saint-Denis back on top in Saint-Denis

A historic moment not to be missed: the spire of the Basilica of Saint-Denis rises again!

From 11 a.m. on March 14, 2025, the city of Saint-Denis will experience an extraordinary day.

After an absence of almost 180 years, the spire of Saint-Denis Cathedral Basilica will make its comeback with the laying of the foundation stone, marking the start of construction!

The project celebrates the region’s architectural heritage, linking the past and future of a destination in constant motion.

Program:

11:00 am: Official ground-breaking ceremony, broadcast live from Hôtel de Ville.
2:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Artisans’ and partners’ village, demonstrations of medieval skills, immersive experiences and creation of a collective work of art on the Basilica forecourt.
5:00 pm: Round-table discussion on the history of the spire.
7:00 pm: Free show in the basilica(reservation recommended).

From March 20 to April 3, Plaine Commune and its partner towns are launching the 1st Sustainable Food Festival! For two weeks, immerse yourself in a 100% gourmet and committed program, with over 100 events taking place near you.
